The final preview ahead of Okay Kaya's intriguing new concept album SAP has arrived - the bold and unfiltered 'Inside of a Plum'. Presumably a metaphor for her own brain, the title lends itself to graphic imagery, further enhanced by Kaya's unflinching vocals that play out like a stream of consciousness, recalling her experience of prescribed ketamine treatment. Tightly woven harmonies dominate the track as tasteful guitars, strings and piano interjections punctuate the highs and lows. Supported by an equally fascinating video, created in collaboration with revered visual artist Austin Lee, Kaya fed thousands of images and text to DALL·E 2 - OpenAI to create new images which were then once again changed through the AI system. She explains: “I wanted to explore what it would be like to be the ripple, move through. Whether it's mundane objects, zoomed in on the natural or magical imagery and shapes."
